Posted Filippine Eventi, Rapimenti

More than 5 months have passed from the abduction of Eugene Vagni, the Italian volunteer of the Red Cross, kidnapped on 15 January 2009 in the island of Jolo with others two colleagues Andreas Notter and Mary Jean Lacaba then released. Little we know about the place where he could be held, partially in order not to put at risk the negotiations, but also for the frequent movementS of the group of the kidnappers. Last June 2, Vagni contact by cellphone his family, reassuring them about his health. Meantime in the island of Jolo the military operations against the muslim separatists Abu Sayyaf continue and this could hinder the release of the hostage. We Pime, than for various times in the past have suffered the same ordeals and received in exchange much solidarity, can only be, in these moments uncertain and unjust, near the family of Vagni and the Philippine Red Cross remebering them and Vagni in our prayers. In the conviction, however, that the abduction of this innocent person who voluntary offered himself to help the people of Jolo, must end as soon as possible.
