(ABC Net) – The Philippines military says an Indonesian man being held hostage by Islamic extremists since March is in good health. Two other hostages, Yamin Labaso and Erikson Hutagaol, were rescued in the southern Philippines at the weekend. They toldPhilippines authorities the remaining hostage, Ahmad Resmiyadi, was well when they were separated from him. hey said Mr Resmiyadi had been handed over to a different faction of the Abu Sayyaf, the group which was holding them in the southern islands of Sulu. The three Indonesians were seized in March after their boat was attacked offMalaysia’s Sabah region by a group calling itself the Jamiat al-Islamiah of Southern Mindanao. US-trained Filipino special forces raided an Abu Sayyaf camp near the remote Sulu town of Indanan on Sunday, rescuing the two men. The Abu Sayyaf has been kidnapping Christians and foreigners for ransom in the southern Philippines for more than a decade.
